New Projects

Here is the new chassis, complete with new beard suspension seats. 

Now the work begins.

The first thing to do is prime the bare metal.  This project may take awhile and I want to prevent rust.

Here it is with some parts set on it to get an idea of what it will look like. 

Engine is an '01 Honda 3.0 Vtec. 

I'm planning to fabricate a supercharger from a GM 3800 on it.  The engine is rated 200 HP stock. 

It should be 250-275 with the supercharger. 

I will be adding steps to get into the car with. 

The car features 18" of wheel travel.

More progress.  Here it is with the steps installed and steering hooked up.

As it turns out the 3.0L didn't have enough power to satisfy... so instead of using the supercharger I opted for a turbo. This woke the engine up but it still didn't have the low end torque I was used to. In order to fix that I picked up  3.5L odyssey block. I then got a 3.2L engine that was broke and put the top end on the 3.5 block. (of course there was some head work done in the process) With the 3.5L and the turbo This car sees about 300 hp at the wheels.

 I'm going to say It's finished 'for now'.
